CODY, Wyo. (AP) - A Wyoming man has denied charges that he helped plan and carry out the killing of his sister’s boyfriend.

The Cody Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/1HcfSry ) 28-year-old Pedro Garcia Jr. pleaded not guilty in District Court on Monday to conspiracy to commit murder and aiding and abetting first-degree murder in the January 2014 death of Juan Antonio Guerra-Torres.

Guerra-Torres’ headless body, which also was missing his right hand and left arm, was found in a rural area northwest of Powell. He had been shot. It took investigators three months to identify him.

District Judge Steve Cranfill rejected a defense request to reduce Garcia’s bail from $1 million to $1,000.
