ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - The owner of an eastern Pennsylvania apartment building where a 3-year-old fell to her death from a fourth-floor window is installing window gates on the building and the other properties it owns.

Valley Housing Development Corp. is installing steel window gates on more than 200 apartment units in 15 buildings that it and the Lehigh County Housing Authority own. Officials say the installations will take about 30 days and cost around $60,000.

Installation began Monday on the Allentown building, which Tamara Arnette and her 5-year-old sister tumbled from on June 5. Tamara died from the fall and her sister was in critical condition.

Authorities deemed the fall an accident.
