ROCKAWAY BEACH, Ore. (AP) - Fire officials at Rockaway Beach on the north Oregon coast say an adult and two juveniles who were caught in a rip tide on Tuesday are safe.

KPTV of Portland reports (https://is.gd/kzwd51 ) that the Rockaway Beach Fire Department says the three people were on boogie boards when the tide caught them and pulled them away from shore. The juveniles were able to catch a wave back in but the adult was pushed farther out.

Fire officials say a Coast Guard helicopter rescued the adult.

No one was injured.
