ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A 22-year-old New York man has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison in the 2013 home invasion and killing of a Rochester man.

Shaquill Battle was sentenced on Tuesday. A jury convicted Battle in April of second-degree murder in the killing of 21-year-old Jemel Lockhart.

Battle was one of three men charged in Lockhart’s slaying during a robbery in the victim’s home in October 2013. Dwayne Tucker was convicted of second-degree murder in October. He was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison in November.
