MONETT, Mo. (AP) - Police say two southwest Missouri women found dead in their homes on the same day died after using methamphetamine.

Monett Police Chief Tim Schweder says a man who allegedly supplied the drugs to both women the day they died could be charged with second-degree murder in their deaths.

The women, 37-year-old Anna K. Smith and 25-year-old Tosha M. Norris, were found dead minutes apart in their homes in Monett Saturday.

The Joplin Globe reports (https://bit.ly/1dfRIyo ) that Schweder says the 35-year-old suspect took drugs with both women and left them alone when they each had a severe reaction to the drug.

The suspect is being held in the Barry County Jail, accused of failing to appear on a second-degree domestic violence charge. No bond has been set.
