RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Another hot day is on the menu for parts of central and coastal North Carolina.

But the National Weather Service says the number of counties covered by Wednesday’s warning about the heat has dropped from the past few days. The advisory is in effect for just 15 counties.

The advisory warns of heat from late morning until early evening. Heat index readings are expected to range from 103 to 109 degrees.

Cities included in the advisory area include Fayetteville, Jacksonville, Lumberton, New Bern and Wilmington,
