COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Another scorching day is coming for the South Carolina coast.

The National Weather Service has posted a heat advisory for the South Carolina coast Friday.

The advisory is in effect in nine counties between late morning and early evening. Heat index readings are expected to range up to 107 degrees along the south coast.

Cities covered by the heat advisory include Beaufort, Charleston, Hilton Head Island, Mount Pleasant, Myrtle Beach, North Charleston and Summerville.
