GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (AP) - The funeral for a Kentucky State Police trooper who was killed in a collision while in the line of duty has been set.

The Paducah Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1HkntlW ) the funeral for 23-year-old Eric K. Chrisman will be on Monday in his hometown of Lawrenceburg.

Authorities say Chrisman died Tuesday when his police cruiser crossed into the eastbound lanes of U.S. 62 near Grand Rivers and into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer.

State police troopers say Chrisman was responding to a reckless driving complaint when the crash occurred.

Kayla Dunn, an assistant manager at the Station Burger Company, says the restaurant will be taking monetary donations for Chrisman’s family at its Paducah and Murray locations. Dunn says a portion of the proceeds will go to the family.
