LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - Police have accused a New Hampshire man of throwing a 2-week-old kitten across a room into a wall, killing it, during a domestic disturbance.

Donald Dube of Laconia was charged with domestic assault and cruelty to animals Thursday night. He faced arraignment Friday; it wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.

Police responding to a home spoke with a woman who said she was assaulted by her boyfriend, whom she identified as the 50-year-old Dube. She said he also took one of her kittens and threw it across the room. The kitten hit a wall and died.
