MURRAY, Utah (AP) - A Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints missionary is in critical condition in a hospital in Utah after a car crash in Atlanta left her in a coma.

KSL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1FDL0sA ) that 19-year-old Rachel Beckstrom, of Tooele, was injured in a car accident with a semi-truck May 29. Another missionary, 20-year-old Natalie Barnard, of Snoqualmie, Washington, was killed in the crash. They were serving 18-month missions in the Atlanta North Mission.

Beckstrom was transported from Atlanta to Utah June 17 and is now in the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

Rachel’s father Curtis Beckstrom says she will have to endure six months to a year of physical and sleep therapy after she awakes from the coma.
