BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A 29-year-old man has been found guilty of fatally shooting a Buffalo teenager during a fight last summer.

An Erie County Court jury on Thursday convicted Joseph Gant of second-degree murder in the killing of 14-year-old Raymond Floyd Patterson III. Gant was also convicted of three counts of attempted murder for wounding three other teens with Patterson, including his 13-year-old brother.

Police say Gant opened fire on Aug. 12 during a fight between two girls outside a housing complex. Patterson and the other teens were playing basketball at a nearby park when they stopped and started walking on a footbridge over the Kensington Highway to watch the fight.

Investigators say cellphone videos of the fight helped them identify Gant as the gunman.

Gant is scheduled to be sentenced on July 27.
