HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) - Police arrested a 28-year-old man accused of raping two women during separate attacks inside his car in Washington County.

Jose Omar Ortiz-Rico has pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, sex abuse and kidnapping in attacks that occurred April 19 and May 26. He is being held on $1.25 million bail.

Authorities also are also looking into whether the Aloha was involved in a third sexual assault from February.

Ortiz-Rico was arrested May 28 and the investigation continued. He was arraigned earlier this month.

Court records obtained by The Oregonian show Ortiz-Rico with previous convictions for second-degree sex abuse, prostitution, fourth-degree assault and methamphetamine possession.
