MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) - Paul Carelli, who earned his pilot’s wings 20 years ago at Naval Air Station Meridian, is the new commander of Training Air Wing One.

On Thursday, local media outlets reported that Carelli relieved Capt. Brian Goszkowicz, who is moving on to an assignment with the Naval Reserve and the University of Mississippi and University of Memphis.

Carelli comes back to Meridian from the Pentagon. Carelli earned his own wings of gold at NAS Meridian in 1995.

Goszkowicz served as commander of Training Air Wing One since July 3, 2013.
