SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - A Syracuse man is accused of making several bomb threats that forced the evacuation of 1,100 workers in the downtown area.

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Alvin King was arrested Thursday and charged with making a terroristic threat and falsely reporting an incident.

Investigators say he made calls to the Onondaga County Civic Center and JOBSplus reporting that he placed a bomb inside the buildings. The threats prompted a heavy police response.

No bombs were found.

King already was wanted by police for a domestic-related incident.

King is expected to be arraigned Friday.

It’s unclear if he has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
