WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - Police say a Worcester man has died in drive-by shooting in a city cemetery.

The 22-year-old victim’s two friends told investigators that the three of them were in Hope Cemetery at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday visiting a friend’s grave when a car drove by and someone opened fire from inside that vehicle.

The victim, whose name was not immediately made public, was taken to the hospital by his friends, where he later died.

There was no word on arrests and police have not released a description of the vehicle from which the shots were fired, or disclosed a possible motive.

The death was the city’s fourth homicide of the year.
