ROCKLAND, Mass. (AP) - Police say a toddler fell from a four-story window of a residential complex in southeastern Massachusetts.

Police responded to a 911 call Thursday evening at the Sheridan Square Condominiums in Rockland. They say it appears the boy, under 2-years-old, pushed on a screen window that gave way and caused him to fall.

He was transported to South Shore Hospital and later transferred to Children’s Hospital of Boston.

Authorities say he is expected to survive.

The cause of the fall appears to be accidental. No criminal charges have been filed, but the Department of Children and Families has been notified.
