SAN DIEGO (AP) - A 74-year-old Southern California woman linked to a cross-border drug tunnel won’t go to prison.

The San Diego Union-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1FFZdVV ) says Glennys Rodriguez of Chula Vista was sentenced Friday to a fine, probation and 80 hours of community service.

A federal judge told Rodriguez she was “old enough to know better” but took her health problems into account.

Prosecutors say Rodriguez arranged the rental of a San Diego warehouse that concealed a 600-yard tunnel to Tijuana, Mexico.

Rodriguez earlier pleaded guilty to conspiracy to launder drug money. She could have faced up to 20 years in prison.
