OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma responders have recovered the body of a teenage boy who drowned in the North Canadian River.

The Oklahoma County sheriff’s office says emergency crews recovered the 17-year-old’s body around 4:30 p.m. Saturday near U.S. 62 in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland tells KWTV-TV the boy was swimming with his family when he went underwater and didn’t resurface.

The boy’s identity hasn’t been released.
