KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - A 29-year-old Bigfork woman who stole money from a customer while working as a tax preparer in Kalispell has received a five-year sentence.

Leilani Louise Albertson will spend her sentence with the Montana Department of Corrections. Flathead District Court Judge Robert B. Allison recommended Thursday that she be placed in treatment programs.

The Daily Inter Lake reports (https://bit.ly/1CAU4i5 ) that the theft was spotted when a customer told police that more than $4,700 was transferred to an account owned by Albertson.

At the time of the theft, Albertson was on probation for a conviction of felony issuing a bad check and faced another case for deceptive practices involving credit cards.

Albertson was sentenced in all three cases on Thursday under a plea agreement.
