PAGE, Ariz. (AP) - A new floating convenience store has opened on Lake Powell.

The National Park Service said Friday the store and snack bar is ready to serve visitors out boating at the Halls Crossing Marina, which lies across state lines in San Juan County, Utah.

Officials say barges towed the floating business nearly 100 miles up Lake Powell over the course of four days.

Glen Canyon National Recreation Area Superintendent Todd Brindle says the new facility has shady picnic tables, a restaurant and a second-floor lounge area.

Lake Powell Resorts and Marinas, a concessioner of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, oversaw construction of the 6,000-square-foot facility.

Visitors will also have access to fueling facilities, launch ramps, overnight accommodations and a free boat pump-out station.
