MAPLETON, Maine (AP) - A northern Maine town is hosting an agricultural fair that celebrates Aroostook County’s rural heritage.

The Maple Meadow Farm Fest is taking place at Maple Meadow Farm in Mapleton from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Organizers describe the event as “a celebration of county camaraderie.” The festival places an emphasis on the daily and seasonal farm and homemaking practices of rural Aroostook County.

Mapleton is located just west of Presque Isle. The festival will include talks on Maine hops, plowing and field demonstrations and tractor train rides.
