THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - The president of Nicholls State University says students won’t incur a tuition increase this year, but some could pay higher fees.

The Daily Comet reports (https://bit.ly/1KhNzan ) that Bruce Murphy, president of the university in Thibodaux, said on Friday that a fee increase is a possibility.

He said the decision hasn’t been made yet but some selected programs might see fee increases.

Lawmakers this year granted colleges and universities the authority to raise fees on individual programs.
