TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A teenager shot in New Jersey’s capital city has died from his wounds.

Authorities say 16-year-old Jah’Vae Miney was shot in the chest late Friday in the area of Bellevue Avenue and Prospect Street in Trenton’s West Ward. He was taken to a hospital, but died there a short time later.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

Authorities say no other injuries were reported in the shooting, and no arrests have been made.

The fatal shooting was third murder in Trenton this week and the 12th overall this year.
