AGANA, Guam (AP) - The National Weather Service says a tropical disturbance could threaten the Mariana Islands, including Guam.

The Pacific Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1RFWR0i ) that a developing tropical disturbance to the south of the Federated States of Micronesia is expected to move slowly north this weekend before turning in the direction of the Mariana Islands.

The weather service says the disturbance could threaten the Marianas as a typhoon or tropical storm during the second half of the week. A weather advisory states that it isn’t possible to give detailed information on its track because the disturbance is still developing.
