VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - Hannah Roberts has won the Miss Mississippi pageant and will compete for the crown of Miss America in September.

The Clarion-Ledger reports (https://on.thec-l.com/1dpWeKG) the 21-year-old winner represented Miss University of Southern Mississippi in the competition Saturday night in Vicksburg and earned a $10,000 scholarship. Roberts plans to attend the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Miss Riverland Laura Lee Lewis was runner-up.

Roberts was a double winner in the preliminary competition, winning for talent Wednesday and swimwear Friday.

The Miss America pageant will be held Sept. 13 in Atlantic City, N.J.
