LEHI, Utah (AP) - Police have identified a 71-year-old woman who was killed after a FrontRunner train hit the truck she and her husband were riding in.

The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/1GKj4VG ) that Barbara North of Heber City was killed in the Saturday crash. Lehi Police Sgt. Bart Smith says her 83-year-old husband, Darrell North, was in critical condition Sunday but his state was improving.

He was flown by helicopter to Utah Valley Medical Center after the crash.

Darrell North was driving the truck around 6 p.m. when it became stuck on the railroad tracks between crossing grades.

Utah Transit Authority spokesman Remi Barron says the man might have still been crossing the tracks when the arm on the opposite side came down, or he could have been confused and stopped on the tracks.
