MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Madison police are searching for a man who attacked a police officer following a domestic altercation.

A police spokeswoman says the 19-year-old man attacked and injured the officer while fleeing police who were investigating the incident Saturday night.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports the man had left the Madison home where the altercation took place. Officers found him in a nearby garage. Police say the suspect fought with officers and injured one of them before running away.

Police say the officer suffered a concussion but was not hospitalized.
