BENSON, N.C. (AP) - Benson police are searching for two brothers in connection with the fatal shooting of a Selma man.

WRAL-TV (https://bit.ly/1KM9Sqb) reports 39-year-old Richard O’Neal Longmire was killed early Monday. Authorities say officers responding to 911 calls found Longmire lying in the front yard with gunshot wounds to his head and abdomen. Police are searching for 29-year-old Jermale Tavaris Williams and 33-year-old Terry Lamont Williams. Jermale Williams is charged with first-degree murder. Terry Williams is charged with accessory after the fact

Relatives said Longmire often met the mother of his children at the house to exchange custody of their kids. Police were called to the house late Sunday over an altercation, and Longmire was shot hours later.

Police said they do not think the brothers have any direct relationship to Longmire.
