CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The National Weather Service has posted tornado and flash flood watches for a large portion of central and eastern Wyoming.

The tornado watch includes Albany, Campbell, Converse, Fremont, Goshen, Hot Springs, Johnson, Laramie, Natrona, Niobrara, Platte, Washakie and Weston counties.

The tornado watch was in effect until 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The flash flood watch area includes Casper, Riverton, Lander, Thermopolis, Worland, Buffalo and Powell where the soil is already saturated from recent rainfall and some rivers and streams are running near bankfull.

The Weather Service says storms could produce up to an inch of rainfall.

The flash flood watch is in effect until late Wednesday.
