RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Southwest Virginia residents, businesses and non-profit organizations affected by severe storms and flooding from mid-February through early March have until June 29 to apply for low-interest disaster loans.

The U.S. Small Business Administration loans are available to affected parties in Wise, Dickenson, Lee, Russell and Scott counties and the city of Norton.

Loans up to $200,000 are available to homeowners for repairs. Personal property loans of up to $40,000 also are available to homeowners or renters to repair or replace belongings like clothing, furniture and cars.

Also, businesses and nonprofit organizations may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets.
