RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - An Arizona man involved in a fatal head-on crash in January 2014 is now facing a vehicular homicide charge.

The Ranger daily newspaper reports (https://bit.ly/1RJioHk) 54-year-old David Hoyt of Apache Junction was extradited to Fremont County and arraigned Monday.

Wyoming Highway Patrol officers say Hoyt was driving on a highway about 34 miles east of Farson when he crossed the center lane. The collision killed 75-year-old Gerald J. Haugen of Cody and injured a passenger.

Hoyt was cited at the time for driving while under suspension, failure to stay in his lane and no proof of insurance.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Lt. Dan Wyrick says it took more than a year for the Fremont County Attorney’s Office to add the vehicular homicide charge for Hoyt, who also fought his extradition.
