SOMERSET, Pa. (AP) - State police say a man found dead in a southwestern Pennsylvania pond near a submerged pickup truck likely died of natural causes.

Troopers from Somerset say the exact cause of 68-year-old Jerry Zeigler’s death is pending a Somerset County coroner’s report. But they say the death of the Somerset man “is not believed to be suspicious in nature.”

Police had previously said the man was known to have heart problems.

Zeigler’s body was found about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday in a Somerset Township pond marked with signs that say, “Lake Lota Water.” That’s about 55 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

An autopsy had been scheduled for Wednesday.
