EVESHAM, N.J. (AP) - Police say an 11-year-old New Jersey girl who was home alone hid in a closet during a burglary.

Evesham police say the child saw a male knock on the front door and then force his way in the back door on Tuesday afternoon.

The girl locked herself in the master bedroom and hid in the closet.

Police say the male forced his way into the bedroom and fled when the girl screamed as he pushed the closet open.

Police are looking for the suspect.
