GRENADA, Miss. (AP) - Grenada Police Chief Ben E. Williams has taken a leave of absence to concentrate on his campaign for Grenada County sheriff.

According to local media reports, City Manager Charles Weathers says Capt. Garrett Hartley is in charge of the police department.

Williams and three others are vying for the county sheriff’s seat.
