BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The debate continues over the fate of land once owned by Burlington College.

WPTZ-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1eOuGA9) residents gathered Tuesday night at a parks and recreation commission meeting to voice their opinions on the property.

Some say the land is one of the last open spaces in the city and others say they don’t want it overdeveloped.

There was a public tour and community meeting on the property two weeks ago. But some residents say they feel their opinions weren’t heard.

Burlington College sold the 27 acres of land for $7 million to help get the school out of debt.
