HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Officials have announced the third annual Hattiesburg Craft Beer Festival will take place June 13.

The Hattiesburg American (https://hatne.ws/1GjSKqE ) reports festival officials announced Tuesday the event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Historic Train Depot. Organizers say the festival is designed to support and expand the craft beer culture in Mississippi. Participants will be able to sample more than 100 craft beers from 30 breweries around the country.

Beer offerings from Mississippi include samples from companies such as Southern Prohibition Brewing, Slowboat Brewing Company and Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company.

The Hattiesburg Craft Beer Festival began as part of FestivalSouth in 2013. About 300 patrons attended the inaugural event. By last year, that number had grown to more than 800.
