MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A Minot Air Force Base woman accused of causing a fatal accident in Minot is on trial in the city.

KXMC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1BKw23G ) that jury selection began Tuesday for the trial of 32-year-old Maria Sutton. She’s accused of driving her car in the wrong lane in June 2013 and striking a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Robert Morrison head-on, killing the Westhope man.

Sutton has pleaded not guilty to a felony negligent homicide charge that carries a maximum punishment of five years in prison. Her trial is scheduled to continue through the rest of the week.
