HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) - Authorities in southwest Ohio say they’ve arrested a 16-year-old boy after a 14-year-old was shot in the head.

Hamilton police say the 16-year-old was arrested following the Wednesday afternoon shooting. Investigators say the two boys were playing with the firearm when it discharged.

The 14-year-old was flown to a Cincinnati hospital. His condition was not available.

The 16-year-old was jailed on juvenile charges of assault, tampering with evidence and discharging a firearm within city limits.
