CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) - Two finalists to become chancellor of Southern Illinois University’s Carbondale campus have met with the school’s board of trustees.

WSIU radio reports (https://bit.ly/1HMVO9t ) SIUC Acting Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan Ford and Oregon State University Vice President and Provost Sabah Randhawa (sah-BUH’ rahn-DAH-wah) met with trustees Wednesday.

Ford says she wants to focus on providing students with a quality education if she gets the job. Randhawa says trustees asked him about the culture at Oregon State.

There’s no date set to make an announcement about who the next chancellor will be. SIU President Randy Dunn says he hopes the campus has a new chancellor this summer or early fall.

Dunn has been serving as the campus’ overseer since interim chancellor Paul Sarvela died of cancer in November.
