TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Gov. Chris Christie will attend a funeral for a New Jersey State Police trooper killed in an on-duty crash before returning to New Hampshire.

Christie is scheduled to attend Anthony Raspa’s service on Thursday morning at St. Matthias Church in Somerset.

The 24-year-old was killed after his cruiser struck a deer while patrolling a stretch of Interstate 195 in Monmouth County.

The potential Republican presidential contender will then return to the early voting state of New Hampshire for another campaign-style swing.

He’ll attend an evening fundraiser in Manchester for the mayor before holding another town hall event at a VFW hall in Derry.

On Friday, Christie will participate in a discussion focused on drug rehabilitation.

Christie says he’ll make a final decision this month about whether he’s running for president.
