BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Gallatin County authorities say they are investigating numerous reports of wild rabbits shot by blow darts.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1BMMKzj ) rabbits have been seen recently with darts sticking out of different parts of their bodies.

Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office animal control officer Kathy Middleton says those found responsible could face criminal charges for injuring the animals.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call Middleton at 582-2100 ext. 2.
