SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah weather forecasters predict a warmer summer than usual in western Utah and a wetter one in the eastern part of the state.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1KFC2zU ) that the prediction comes after an unusually warm March and record-breaking precipitation May.

National Weather Service Forecaster Christine Kruse says parts of Utah have a greater than 33 percent chance of being wetter than average this summer, and other parts have the same chance of higher than normal temperatures.

Kruse says that predictions can only be so accurate, so she will have to wait to see how the weather pattern evolves.
