ROY, Wash. (AP) - Police in the small town of Roy, Washington, say they think a 71-year-old man is responsible for shooting out windows at City Hall and a nearby steakhouse.

KIRO-TV of Seattle reports (https://is.gd/I3p29v ) that Police Chief Darwin Armitage says the man’s truck was identified from surveillance video. The chief says he went to the man’s home and asked who was driving the truck. The chief says the man acknowledged firing the shots early on May 27, apologized and appeared remorseful. No one was injured.

The 71-year-old has not been arrested. The case has been referred to the Pierce County prosecutor’s office for review.

Armitage says this is not the same person who shot out windows at City Hall last Halloween. That shooter was described as a younger man.

Roy is about 45 miles south of Seattle.
