QUINCY, Ill. (AP) - A 61-year-old Quincy woman has been sentenced to nine years in prison for her ninth drunk-driving conviction.

The (Quincy) Herald-Whig (bit.ly/1SWlTeU ) reports that Konnie “Kelly” McCord faced up to 30 years in state prison but struck a plea deal Wednesday for the lesser sentence. She was most recently convicted of DUI in Brown County in 2005 and sentenced to four years in prison.

McCord has been convicted seven times of driving under the influence of alcohol in Illinois and two other times in Texas. She registered a blood-alcohol content of .204 after her most recent arrest in April, which is nearly 2 ½ times the legal limit.
