KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. (AP) - One man has died and another has been hurt in a shooting in Kings Mountain.

Police told local media outlets that 30-year-old Sedrick Bernard Hartgrove died from his injuries after shot late Wednesday night.

Twenty-year-old Sherman Devante Addison was in a hospital in critical condition.

Police say 36-year-old James Travis Ussery has been arrested and charged with assault.

Police were called to Ussery’s home around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say there was an argument before the shooting. Police said Ussery told investigators that Addison and Hartgrove tried to force their way into his home.

Prosecutors say more charges are possible.

It was not clear if Ussery has an attorney.
