ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police and residents in the city’s Buckhead neighborhood are offering a $25,000 reward for information about a pair of home invasions.

In one case, police are searching for two armed robbers who invaded a $3 million mansion, then forced a man to get cash from an ATM before releasing him. That crime happened late last month.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said the victim told officers that two gunmen came in through an unlocked door. The suspects put towels over the faces of family members, then searched the residence for jewelry.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that a similar crime happened Jan. 31 on Randall Mill Road.

Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon tells WSB-TV that investigators believe the same perpetrators are involved in both crimes.
