VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - Authorities in Virginia Beach say three people have been injured after a van crashed at an intersection, then careened into the side of a McDonald’s drive-thru and caught fire.

Media outlets report the crash occurred at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Virginia Beach. Fire Battalion Chief Joshua Goyet says the fire was out less than an hour later.

Goyet says three people suffered injuries that weren’t life-threatening and were taken to a hospital.

He says the injured included two people in the van and a restaurant worker.
