FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. (AP) - Services are set next week for a Fayetteville teenager who was killed by lightning.

The funeral for 17-year-old Jacob Neff will be held Tuesday at Dodd Payne Hess Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

Authorities say Neff and two other boys were fishing at a pond when a tree they took shelter under was struck by lightning. Neff was killed and the other boys were injured.

Neff was an 11th grader at Fayetteville High School. He is survived by his mother, a 2-year-old son and a sister and brother.

Media outlets report a candlelight service is scheduled for Saturday at the high school, where donations will be collected for his funeral expenses.
