WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. (AP) - More people will be able to fly in and out of West Yellowstone through Salt Lake City now that daily jet service has started between the two destinations.

Montana Department of Transportation officials say a Delta Airlines connection flight operated by SkyWest started flying jets into West Yellowstone this week.

Yellowstone Airport manager Jeff Kadlec says the service will provide a 30 percent increase in the number of seats on flights into the airport.

It’s been more than 30 years since the Yellowstone Airport had jet service. Before this week SkyWest provided service on smaller turboprop planes.
