COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A man is heading to prison for killing a man in a drive-by shooting in central Ohio when he was 16.

The Columbus Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1BNlP6t ) 20-year-old Diquan Coleman-Muse was sentenced Thursday to life in an adult prison with no chance of parole for 28 years.

A Franklin County jury convicted him of aggravated murder with a gun in April in the death of 20-year-old Damiko Russell. Prosecutors say Coleman-Muse gunned Russell down on a Columbus street in March 2011.

Coleman-Muse didn’t make a statement before his sentencing.

A second man, 24-year-old Andre Jordan, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the shooting. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Coleman-Muse was prosecuted as an adult because he was already in adult prison on aggravated robbery and felony assault convictions.
